My friend Pete is determined to start his own business so that he can move out of his mother’s basement.  At first, he read up on Chicago SEO and thought about starting his own Internet marketing business.  Then he realized he’d probably need to own a computer for that as well as a printer and would probably need a cell phone to conduct business with as well.  So his new idea is to start his own window washing or painting business.  He hasn’t decided on which yet.  First, he needs a van to store all his equipment and then he needs to get a cell phone.  Then he actually needs the equipment and to find out what he’s doing when he’s painting or window washing.  But at least he’s trying to do something with his life.  He’s been in and out of jail and rehab and has never really had a chance.  His parents want him to get a job, but they expect him to find one really close to their house and that’s not realistic.  He just keeps getting more and more depressed living with them and needs to get out on his own.  That’s the only way he’ll ever get anywhere.
