PREPARING TO LEAVE
I am preparing to leave in the morning for Kansas City. I don’t quite know what to expect when I get there, but I do know that all my living arrangements have been taken care of. I wonder if I will be the only support person there. Probably not. I am sure there are some from the other office who will help with all the typing and filing that has to be done to get the due diligence done on this client. I think we most likely will be inputting all pertinent information into the data base that is being set up for this project. The new attorney who will be joining our firm is still busy in Kansas City filing bankruptcy cases that she had already started and needs to wrap up before she leaves. She is turning those files over to someone to complete after she is gone. I hope I get a chance to sight see a little bit. But maybe it will be a marathon of work for days and day, who knows. I am going to have to remember to call my Grandmother when I get settled. She wants to make sure I am eating the right kinds of food and that I don’t fall into the habit of visiting fast food restaurants too often while I am away. I think she still sees me as a little girl.
