I searched high and low for the perfect birthday present for my mom.  She has always been so thoughtful when it came to getting things that we wanted or needed.  She could always find a gift that was meaningful, but I can’t remember the last time that I got her anything other than flowers for any occasion.  I wanted this year to be something different, something special, so I got her Jersey Boys tickets.  Frankie Valli is one of her all time favorites, I heard his music all the time in the house as a child so I think that taking her to see this show will be something that she will really enjoy.  My parents spent all of their money on their kids and on bills; they never got to splurge on anything like an expensive Broadway show and night on the town.  Cost really isn’t a concern to my wife and me, we both make a very good living and we don’t have any children yet, so I’m pretty excited about getting to “spoil” my mom a little bit on her birthday.  I’ll never be able to fully repay her for all of the things that she and my father did for us, but I could at least start being a little more thoughtful on special occasions.
