My friend, Kae, is having a hard time getting her life together.  She loves to party and buy new clothes and absolutely must travel on the spur of the moment.  She goes places like Las Vegas and spends money she really does not have, and comes back to report on all the fun she had while she was there.  She loves to eat out, practically every night.  She says it just more convenient.  She loves to go to upscale restaurants.  It makes no sense, since she has begun talking about filing Chapter 7 to get herself out of this mess she has gotten into because of her spending habits.  I have tried to get her to see the folly of her ways.  But Kae has been doing this since she graduated from college, and it does not seem to be getting any better, just worse everyday.  Our group of friends have tried to intervene by not going shopping with her, or going out to eat.  We have tried to show her our thrifty ways and have talked to her about why we need to save for the future, or at least save for a rainy day.  It’s all for naught.
