We are having a great week at work, or at least a great beginning. There is a lot of traffic in the store, even though it has been raining and snowing all day. I think it has something to do with the Manhattan Bankruptcy conference in town these next two weeks. We usually do good businesses when there are conferences in because people are usually visiting the city and want to shop. Then there are those that have lost their luggage and need to buy all new clothes. The best part is, most of the stuff that we sell will not be returned because people either do not have our store where they live, they keep them as souvenirs or give them as presents, or just do not feel like going through the trouble of sending it back. I remember when there was a dentist convention downtown and every single day we would have groups and groups of people coming from all over the country just shopping and spending money and having a good time. It was mostly their families being bored and taking in the sites while the dentist in the family was off at what ever all day meeting they were attending.
