CREDIT CARD COMPANIES
I personally blame the credit card companies for making me bankrupt. I know that a lot of people will say that it’s my own fault for over spending and not being able to manage my income or stick to a simple budget but I think its a little more complex than that. Despite the fact that I was in an insurmountable amount of debt I somehow kept getting pre approved for new cards, so, since the majority of my money was going to pay the other credit card bills I took on new cards so I could afford the things that I needed. It wasn’t long before I was paying one credit card’s monthly payment with another credit card and at that point I couldn’t even tell how many cards I had or how many of them were maxed out – but still, every single day I got notices that I was pre approved for another card. I figured that if I could just “rob Peter to pay Paul” for a little while longer that I would eventually catch up. In reality, what I was doing was just digging myself deeper and deeper into debt. At this point, even if I had a million years to do it, and never made another credit card purchase between now and then, I wouldn’t be able to pay off the balances that I’ve managed to accumulate. I’m in a position now that I have no other viable option but to file for bankruptcy.
