CHRISTMAS GIFTS
Last Christmas, my parents excitedly gave me tickets to the Broadway musical Jersey Boys. It has apparently won a lot of Tony awards and garnered much critical acclaim. They thought that I would love having two tickets to that musical. I was less than pleased. I had no idea why they had thought that I would want those tickets. I’ve never been into musicals. I’ve never even been to a musical before or watched one on TV. I hadn’t actually ever heard of Jersey Boys before I got the tickets and once I had them I looked up the musical on the Internet. On the one hand, I really do appreciate the trouble my parents must have gone to in getting me those tickets. On the other hand, I have no use for them. Even if I wanted to go, I have no one to go with me. I’m not dating anyone at this time and I don’t have any friends who are interested in going to a musical. The best idea I’ve had concerning what to do with these tickets is just sell them to someone. Maybe I can do it online since I doubt I’d that great of a scalper. At the very least, I should make some cash from all this.
